In 1620 Bernard de Pennautier, then Treasurer of the State of Languedoc, set the first stone of an elegant 17th century style castle. Today, Pennautier is still one of the most precious building of the region.
On July 14, 1622, he had the great honor to welcome Louis XIII to the Chateau. The king offered his traveling furniture to his host as sign of his gratitude. This ensemble still represents today the pride of the castle.Appellation Vin de Pays d'Oc
Vinification Harvested in the first hours of the day. Immediately drained and pressed. Cold settling. 3 weeks of fermentation at 16 to 18°C.
Grape Varieties Sauvignon Blanc 100 %
Tasting Very bright yellow green. A powerful nose dominated by sents of grapefruit, lemon zest and asparagus. A good balance on the palate. This wine is very lively and silky developing aromas of citrus. A fresh wine to be enjoyed in its youth.

This is a very tasty Sauvignon Blanc. I like to pair it with fish entrees or seafood appetizers.
