Proprietary Red Blends
Altitude 500, Les Vignerons du Mont Ventoux, `03
The Cotes du Ventoux appellation mostly is in the Comtat, sheltered by Mont Ventoux, le giant de Provence, and on the Plateau de Vaucluse. Thus, its terroirs are different from those of the Cotes du Rhone, being mostly protected from the mistral by Mont Ventoux. The grapes are the same as those of the Southern Cotes du Rhone, but the wines are less robust.J et R imports from this excellent Cote du Ventoux cooperative:

Craig's Comments
2003 was a fat, ripe vintage in Provence. This is a tasty, meaty red. Great value!
